Letter from Sarah

In this Insight Yoga Primary Level Teacher Training Online course, I have integrated three essential body/mind practices developed over three decades.

The first two aspects, Yin and Yang Yoga, emphasize how consistent attention to the body through specific postures enhances overall health and well-being. Yin Yoga focuses on holding poses for longer durations to stimulate fluid and energy flow while cultivating awareness of psychological attitudes. You’ll learn to adjust poses or use props to meet personal needs, with four Yin sequences targeting different organ/meridian pairings grounded in Meridian theory. Yang Yoga complements this by moving slowly between poses to strengthen the body, particularly the lower back, while emphasizing structural stability alongside the receptivity fostered by Yin.

The third feature of this training centers on mental health through Buddhist Mindfulness Meditation and self-inquiry. I provide practical and philosophical teachings paired with experiential practices. The essence of a committed yoga practice is meditative focus and awareness. Developing and sustaining a formal meditation practice can be a continual source of insight, rejuvenation and compassion. It is a practice that can reveal and disempower our negative, fragmented aspects while potentially revealing our essential nature. Meditation can also deepen one’s awareness and acceptance of oneself and of the world, deepening one’s openness and wakefulness.

I have planned the content and schedule to help you track your progress and complete your studies within six months time. You will have access to the materials anytime during this period. We will meet once a month to dive deep into varies topics and discuss any questions you may have, and you’ll have a whole month at the end to immerse yourself in and integrate all the materials.

I hope this course not only equips you with the skills to share and teach but also enables you to cultivate the ability to find insight within yourself.

Join me on this journey and discover pockets of calm and clarity within.

With Maitri,

Sarah
